Since I started offering certifications in Jan 2010, I’ve sought to provide the highest quality, safest medical marijuana certification in Michigan.
When others offered no record certifications, I required records. When internet or through the mail certifications were offered, I wanted to look my patients in the eye. There were many days I sat in an empty office while this dispensary or that offered $70 ‘quick and easy’ certifications, no records required, you don’t even have to see the doctor. Since April 1st, most of these ‘clinics’ dissappeared, good luck finding them for a renewal or to support you in court if you were charged. Today, some still exist ‘under the radar’ offering renewals through the mail- pay for the paperwork and then go to a hotel room for a ‘free’ visit with someone claiming to be a doctor.
We held to our standards during the hard days when others were offering an ‘easy’ certification for nothing. We have our same standards now. We didn’t raise our prices when the cards went to two years. We offer free follow up to protect your section 8 defense if needed. We still treat this like a regular doctor visit.
Perhaps the best question a potential new or renewal patient, especially one staring at a brightly colored letter offering to renew their certification through the mail, with a ‘free’ doctor visit once the paperwork is paid for, is ‘who do I want standing for me in court’ if I need my doctor.
